Warranty, Exchanges and Return Policy
Thank you for trusting us with your eyewear and/or contacts. All of our products are carefully handled and crafted with the utmost care and precision by either us or our labs and vendors.
We hope that you love and enjoy your new purchase and we want you to be completely satisfied with your new eyewear and/or contacts. With all things that are made, situations may occur that may lead you to not being completely satisfied with your purchase. In the event of that occurrence, please review the Warranty, Exchange and Return policy below.
Return Policy
If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your prescription eyeglasses (frames and lenses) you may return them for a refund less a 20% restocking fee within 30 days of the date your glasses were purchased. Eyeglasses must be returned in the original packaging and in saleable condition. Because eyeglass lens orders are highly customized and cannot be canceled once they have been placed. A restocking fee may be assessed on stopped or processed orders.
Eyewear Exchanges
Exchanges for frames are permitted up to 30 days from the date of purchase. Exchanges can be valued up to the same retail price as the original order. If the newly selected frame is price higher, the patient will be responsible for the difference in price.
Exchanges for lenses are permitted up to 30 days from the date of purchase valued at the same retail price as the original order. Under the circumstance that patient wants to upgrade lens designs or features, patient will be responsible for the difference in price.
In the event that changes need to be made to prescription lenses due to the following but not limited to: prescription changes, material or design changes, measurement changes, manufacturer changes and other lens remake issues, Schoonover Eye Care will cover the cost to replace lenses one(1) time within 30 days from the date of purchase at a cost of twenty dollars to the patient. No refund or credit will be provided to price adjustments as lenses are being changed at no additional cost to the patient.
Contact lenses Exchanges
Contact lens supplies may be returned for a full refund within 30 days from the date of purchase. Any portion of the contact lens supplies that were used from the original order will be prorated from the refund amount. Contact lenses must be returned in the original unopened packaging and in sale-able condition to be considered as part of the refund.
If a portion of your purchase was made using insurance benefits, we are unable to reinstate benefits. You must contact your insurance company.
Warranty – Schoonover Eye Care Eyewear Extended Warranty
Schoonover Eye Care warranty may be purchased with your glasses to safeguard from accidental scratches, damages to your glasses and protection from normal wear and tear.
Term of coverage: $35 One year Service Warranty Plan*
We will replace your frame and/or lenses one(1) time within the date of purchase for $20 per frame and $20 per pair of lenses.
What is Covered: Life happens and this plan is designed to cover your eyewear for when accidents happen including normal wear and tear. This plan covers parts and labor costs to repair your product in the event your product experiences a breakdown or damages which is not covered under any other warranty or service contract.
We will repair or replace the product, at our discretion, when required due to any damages or scratches. Non-original manufacturer’s parts may be used for repair of the product if the manufacturer’s parts are unavailable. For the situation when the covered product cannot be repaired, the cost of the repair exceeds the original purchase price, or parts are no longer available due to the age of the product or due to discontinuance by the manufacturer, we will replace your product with a product of like kind and quality that performs to the factory specifications of the original product. Damaged pair of glasses (frame and/or lenses) must be presented and exchanged to receive warranty replacements.
What is not covered: Lost or stolen glasses, any and all pre-existing conditions that occur prior to the effective date of this plan, unauthorized repairs, introduction of any foreign objects to the product and unauthorized product modifications or alterations such as but not limited to: any use of glue (i.e.super glue or hot glue), welding, soldering or tape.
*This plan expires 12 months from the original date of purchase and not renewable.
